
The 1000th Boeing 747 is now available to you. AIRSKINZ has managed to find the only remaining panel of skin that was tucked away in the corner of a hangar from this truly historical aircraft. This aircraft was a huge mile stone for Boeing.
This aircraft was first delivered to Singapore Airlines in 1993 and flew with them until 2012 carrying millions of passengers all around the world, the aircraft was then converted into a freighter and flew for Southern Air until late 2014.
On September 10, 1993, Boeing finished production on its 1000th Boeing 747 aircraft, a 747-412 variant (registered 9V-SMU) that would enter service with Singapore Airlines. The Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet is among the world’s most recognizable aircraft, and was world’s first ever wide-bodied passenger jet.
